I’m Melissa Villanueva, small business owner, economic development leader, and longtime community advocate. For nearly twelve years, I’ve grown a business from the ground up. And I’ve experienced firsthand what effective leadership and creative collaboration can do to make our communities stronger, safer, and more accessible to everyone.

I will push to make services affordable, accessible, and genuinely connected. That includes mental health care, smarter transit, and housing that working families can actually afford.

Smart economic development revitalizes entire communities. It creates real jobs and supports the skilled workers who keep DuPage running. When we back local businesses and invest in workforce training, we can grow our county resources without increasing taxes. This gives us the ability to respond quickly to the needs of our community.

I will fight for young workers and families just starting out, for seniors on a fixed income, and for small business owners creating jobs in our community. I promise to put our neighbors first and ensure no one falls through the cracks.
